A new book produced by the USDA Forest Service, Forest Products Laboratory — Sustainable Development in the Forest Products Industry — provides strong evidence of the link between a vibrant forest products industry and healthy working forests. “The Endowment’s entire theory of work is based upon the concepts contained in this work,” says U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities President Carlton Owen. “The threat to healthy working forests isn’t too many markets; it is just the opposite.”
