Who We Are
We are catalysts for positive change, balancing economic, environmental & social benefits.
Mission
The Endowment works collaboratively with partners in the public and private sectors to advance systemic, transformative and sustainable change for the health and vitality of the nation’s working forests and forest-reliant communities.
History
The U.S. Endowment for Forestry and Communities, Inc. is a not-for-profit public charity established on September 21, 2006, at the request of the governments of the United States and Canada in accordance with the terms of the 2006 Softwood Lumber Agreement.
Vision
America’s forests are sustainably managed to meet broad societal objectives such as marketable products, clean waters, wildlife habitats and other ecological services while ensuring healthy and vibrant forest-reliant communities.
Transparency
We are committed to the highest standards and practices in the stewardship of the Endowment’s resources and responsibilities. This commitment begins with a desire to be open and transparent in all we do. We have therefore adopted a comprehensive set of Stewardship Principles and a set of Values to guide our actions.
In addition to these guiding documents we provide copies of Foundational Documents; Audited Financial Statements; IRS Form 990s; Quarterly Stewardship Reports; Annual Reports and other pertinent information.
